Praise for our high-quality local food
We are very proud of our Taste of the West Gold and Silver awards. To win one of these awards you are required to use a high proportion of produce from the West Country. But why wouldn't we? This beautiful region of England produces some of the best food and drink in the world. Most of our food is organic, and sourced locally. and is inventively prepared with a Mediterranean mood.
One reviewer summed our approach very well, comparing Bank House Café to “a superb but relaxed French or Italian country restaurant, sitting in the shadow of the church in a corner of the town’s marvellous mediaeval square." Another writer described a visit that had just the right effect: “This was a lunch that made me grin from ear to ear all the way home. Proper food cooked with integrity by people who care.”
