Something to celebrate ...
something to regret
BANK HOUSE CAFE, in its handsome Georgian house on a mediaeval square in the Somerset, is becoming an increasingly popular place for celebrations, and for outstanding lunches and dinners or simply coffee and cake. We are delighted to say that our growing reputation has just been boosted by a Taste of the West Gold Award in the café/tearoom category. This trumps the Silver Award we received in 2007, our first year of business.
Sadly though, like so many other small businesses, we are also being credit crunched. This means that. for the moment, we are unable to open in the day except at weekends. But we are open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday - and all day on weekends. We are very sorry about this arrangement, because our daytime customers are really important to us. Rest assured we'll get back to normal as soon as we can.

Let the Christmas sprit take your mind off troubled times
During November and December we are taking bookings for our Christmas Menu. And despite the new opening times we are happy to open for larger parties at any time.
When Tina and friends chose BANK HOUSE CAFE as the place to celebrate a significant birthday they chose to wear their wedding dresses for the occasion. None of our other guests have gone that far. As far as we are concerned, a T-shirt and jeans will do just as well, although we do like it when our guests wear a smile.
